How ohayou works

The game is played in a channel. Say !ohayou once a day and the bot pays you. Everything below is what there is to spend it on.

The first day

  1. Say !ohayou. You get your ration. Come back tomorrow and say it again. Say it every day and the ration grows.
  2. Buy a cat. !buy cat costs 12 and adds 1 to every ration you draw from then on.
  3. Buy an acre. Land is the cap on everything. Twenty cats fill one, and most buildings want an acre to themselves.
  4. Dig. A quarry and an oil well feed the crafting tree, and what you build there pays you every ration for good.

Miss a day and your streak resets. Nothing you own is lost. Check where you stand with !stats and !inventory.

The shop

Everything the bot sells, cheapest first. Buy with !buy <name>, or !buy <name> max to spend what you have.

Made, not bought

None of these are for sale. The quarry digs metals and the oil well pumps barrels; !build <name> turns them into parts, and parts into buildings that earn every ration. !recipe <name> says what one needs.

The commands

!ohayou
Your daily ration. Once a day, in a channel.
!items !item
Browse the shop by category, or read one thing up close.
!buy
Buy one, a number, or max.
!use
Set a thing working: a quarry, an oil well, a cattery, a vault.
!equip !unequip
Put armor on and take it off.
!build !recipe

!steal
Rob someone. Get caught and you pay a fine and earn nothing until it clears.

!report
After a robbery, have the police guard you for a few hours.
!stats !inventory !top
Your standing, your things, and who is richest.
!register !identify
Tie your assets to your services account so nobody on your nick can touch them.
!territory
How your land is drawn on the map, and which deer flies over it.
!news
What has happened lately, out there.

!help <topic> in the channel covers any of these in more detail.

Playing along

Everything here happens in the channel. The site is the register: the map draws every acre anyone holds, and the day book says what has been happening.

Say !web to the bot and it sends you a link that signs you in here. Signed in, this page fills in what you have and what you can afford.
